This oval slab platter was rolled out by hand and cut to form.  Glaze fired using our rutile crystalline, this platter has one huge showstopper crystal that reminds us of a sandollar.  Some slabwork has a tendancy to warp in a prolonged hot kiln firing, especially at this size, and that happened a bit to this piece during firing.  It is still a stunning and very functional piece.
