Hey There
I live in the Seacoast of New Hampshire with my college sweetheart, raising four boys (yes, it is as loud and as rough as it sounds) and a bunny named Mochi. I am a small batch studio potter creating functional wares for your home and kitchen. My specialty is crystalline fired ceramics. I love to cook, read, paint, garden and surf. I go to the ocean all year long...it is my favorite place (other than Italy).
My Story
I wish we could put our comfys on, slip off our shoes, sit on the couch and share a big cup of coffee (or tea) for this. My story is a bit of a ride. I studied ceramics and earned my degree in art, in 2009 (where I met, dated and then married the greatest guy ever - Andrew). I launched by business, The Clay House Studio, in 2010 selling my pottery in local shops, fairs, trunk shows, online and eventually...a mobile Tiny Shop. (Yes, a tiny house on wheels, turned store. I know, right?!). Between 2012 and 2016 I became a mom to boys three times over and started dreaming about business goals, what sleeping through the night and a lazy Saturday morning used to feel like. In 2018 I was lined up for some big business plans moving forward when an advanced breast cancer diagnosis rocked my world and pulled the rug out from under me. I was pregnant with my number four (yes, amidst all of the cancer stuff)! I spent the next two years battling through 20 months of chemotherapy and multiples surgeries. I kept trying to keep my business dreams alive and work as I could. Treatment was effective and all was looking really positive - I even got to take a break from treatment and build the Tiny Shop! In 2021, the rug was pulled out from underneath once more when we discovered I had a recurrence of cancer, this time in my brain. An emergency brain surgery was scheduled within days, followed by radiation, and more infusions.

Deep breaths...I am currently in active treatment that has no end date, yet, and I am currently holding a "stable" place in my disease. My work in the studio has surged and receded a number of times, but I have not closed my doors entirely. I am excited for those surges of growth and work as they come! When I am not in the studio, my other creative outlets are cooking, gardening, art of any other kind and surfing. Oh, and also trying to convince my husband, AT ALL COSTS, that it is necessary for us to get a miniature pony.
